Error message:C:\programes file cannot access, access is denied, what happen?

i am using windows xp home edition. and i am logged as an administrator.


when i try to open C:\programe files, i got error message that is C;\programe file access is denied and when i try to install softwares in C, i have got the same error.


how could i avoid this problem?

You should have admin rights, so check for a file in c:\ called Program - if the file is there, it prevents software from seeing the c:\Program Files directory





Could be you have a virus that's messing things up...
Reply:Make sure you do not have a virus. Scan your computer. Also, make sure "read only" is not checked in folder properties. Although, even if it was you still should be able to access the folder but not write to it. Good luck!
