How to change location of hibernation file in windos xp (the hiberfil.sys or something like that found in C:)?

I Have Windows Xp Professional. i used to have 256 MB Ram and used to always hibernate my computer as it is faster to start that way. it used a 256 mb file in c:, i didnt mind it. but recently i have upgraded my ram to 768mb ram. so now the hiberfil.sys is 768 mb . this i causing a space shortage in C: i hav only about 100 mb left. so i removed hibernation option. now i hav arounf 800 mb free. is there a way to use hibernation but to place the file some where else

Hi Randan,

I don't think there is an option to change the location. I quit using hibernation because of that although now that I have a 500 Gb C drive I guess I could turn it back on.

To tell the truth once I got used to not having it I didn't miss it.
